XSENS XRATE & XACT LIQUID

Clamp-On Flow & Fraction Meter

The XSENS XRATE & XACT LIQUID series represent a breakthrough in clamp-on ultrasonic metering, providing both flow rate and fluid fraction measurement from outside the pipe. Using patented helical and axial ultrasonic transmission, these meters achieve in-line accuracy levels while retaining the benefits of non-intrusive installation: no pipe cutting, no pressure drop, no moving parts.

Developed in partnership with Christian Michelsen Research (CMR), this disruptive technology delivers accurate, cost-effective, and safe flow measurement solutions for liquids and gases in challenging industrial applications.

XSENS clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter for non-intrusive liquid flow measurement
  • Dual measurement: flow rate + fluid fraction (0–100%)
  • Helical + axial ultrasonic transmission for tomographic flow profiling
  • Accuracy comparable to in-line multipath meters
  • Non-invasive clamp-on design: no pipe penetration or leak risk
  • Installed cost up to 50% lower than conventional in-line meters
  • No pressure drop, clogging points, or moving parts
  • Maintenance-free operation with 20-year transducer life
  • Safe, HSE-compliant installation on pressurized pipes
